It stated that smartphone traffic will exceed personal computer traffic by 2020 and will account for 30 percent of total IP traffic by 2020, up from 8 percent in 2015.

These figures were certainly impressive.

Anyone with a Facebook account would have realized that its design has been evolving for better use of smartphones for some time.

Most website development platforms give you the option to see what your site looks like, but is this enough?

Is your menu easy to navigate on a smaller screen?

Do your images or your ads appear clearly?

If you haven’t tested your site yet here is what you could try.

Set up a short quiz and get at least five people to answer the questions.

The sorts of questions should involve finding pages which are at the end of your menu.

They could be questions that relate to certain images.

As well, where do links take them?

You should time them and see if each person had a similar time.

While this is no exact test, it will give you an idea of how useable your site is.

If any of the questions couldn’t be answered, fix them.
