According to Wyzowl if you love using videos in your content marketing campaigns, like we do, then you’ve got something to celebrate.
Let’s look at the first three stats.
Over half of businesses are using videos as a marketing tool – an impressive 61%
Over half of these were not using videos a year ago (66%)
This implies that there are many businesses who see the advantages of using videos in a variety of different marketing situations.
They are utilizing easy-to-use programs that offer free images and music like Adobe Spark.
They are entertaining, educating and engaging visitors and social media followers to raise brand awareness and promote their products.
Even more impressive is that 91% of businesses say they play to use videos more.
More businesses are realizing the marketing potential of videos
However, many content marketers remain skeptic.
They see a whole host of videos streaming from their social media timelines, but they can’t see how this translate into visitors -> engagement -> sales.
No one can argue that videos are becoming more usable, but at present, they are not searchable by the big search engines.
When using videos we recommend you add enough text to your post or page so that it is found – usually 250 words is plenty.
Videos are now cheap and easy to make.
They are also very high in great quality.
It is now up to us as content marketers to not only embrace videos, but to use them for maximum advantage.
