There are many things to consider when creating a website.
Many businesses go for flashy images, but are weak on content.
Content is what search engines will use to send organic traffic to your site.
Blog posts, long articles and videos are all great content, but are you using them effectively?
Creating titles is a real skill.
Use the words people are using when they search for content in your titles.
As well, use ‘you’ or ‘your’ a lot and phrase your titles as questions which you are going to answer.
2. Blog posts word count
Write posts between 250 and 400 words – anything shorter than 200 words or longer than 400 search engines will ignore.
3. Images within posts
Use images every 150 words – this breaks up long passages for phone & tablet users.
4. Call to Action
Always include a call to action at the end of each post.
Some visitors will only stay for the few seconds it takes to read one article.
Make sure you grab their attention with a free offer and a well-planned call to action.
5. Videos are very effective
Use videos to increase your visitor’s engagement and lower bounce rates.
Facebook will soon be nearly 50% videos and we are hardwired to watch videos.
Take advantage of this and create compelling video content which is engaging and sharable.
Remember, be generous with what you give away. This builds trust and lifelong relationships.
