409 million people a month are reading content
If you were wondering why it so hard to get found online, then these latest statistics from WordPress are sobering the say the least.
According to them, each month 409 million people read 22.9 billion pages.
This includes domains and subdomains hosted by WordPress.
Users posted 65.4 million new posts each month, which received 44.8 million comments.
These figures were generated by WordPress’ JetPack Plugin which is free with all WordPress blogs, but is also used externally by other users and platforms.
While we can assume you read and write in English, because you are reading this, WordPress publishes in 120 languages across the globe.
The top languages are:
- English: 71%
- Spanish: 4.7%
- Indonesian: 2.4%

How is anyone going to find your website and blog?
These figures are certainly mind-boggling, to say the least.
However, this website – Get Online Fast – is dedicated to helping you, not only get online, but to get found.
To do this you’ll need to provide original content published on a regular basis over many months, if not years.
This way the search engines will recognise you as someone who is in it for the long haul and who knows what they are talking about.
As we’ve mentioned before, most websites are abandoned after 90 days.
That’s why we often publish ideas you can use to generate more content.
To make sure you get your fair share of the 409 million monthly users, start blogging today.
